Cinesite Montreal is seeking a Junior Rigger for Feature Animated films. Ideal candidate should be highly organized and motivated with the desire to work within a top quality and fast-paced animation team.

The Role:

  • Work within an existing pipeline and use Maya tools to create rigs for characters and/or props
  •  Responsible for fixes on both characters and props
  •  Use Python or Mel to write small scripts to expedite rig deliveries
  •  Communicate with members of the team
  • Work within the existing tracking system to self-manage notes and progress
  •  Be able to flag and solve potential delays or problems to stay on budget and on schedule

We’d like to talk to you if you have:

• Experience in a variety of Maya rigging techniques
• Beginner to intermediate biped and prop rigging experience with a Maya based pipeline
• Solid knowledge of Maya, with beginner to intermediate skill level in Python or Mel scripting
• 1+ years of experience working in the animation industry, Feature Animation or complex Television experience preferred.• Experience in corrective sculpting
• Good communication skills, able to take direction
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently on tasks within the boundaries of the assigned deadlines
