Under the CG Supervisor

HOW HE/SHE DOES HIS MARK
He / she works in close collaboration with the producer, the supervisor CG and the lighting and compositing artists. He / she is responsible for the management of the artists and the artistic orientation according to the directions of the CG Supervisor.

 

MISSIONS
Principal mission :

He / she communicates the key steps to the compositing and lighting artists of his team. He / she reviews the work done and corrects it if necessary and ensures that deadlines are met. He / she brings and implements his expertise, both technically and artistically on the realization of different projects.

TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Supervise all the activities of the lighting and compositing departments;
  • Develops, manages and maintains the schedule and production quotas in agreement with the coordination team;
  • Attends and participates actively in the meetings with the Artistic Direction and the Producers on each project;
  • Anticipates actual or potential technical problems and finds solutions;
  • Assign the differents tasks by taking in concideration the strengths and weaknesses of each member of the team;
  • Monitors daily with team members to ensure there are no delays;
  • Guide each member of his team through the various stages of production by giving clear direction;
  • Informs the team about project changes and novelties;
  • Collaborates with other leads in the production team including lead, FX and animation leads.
  • Actively participate in hiring new artists;
  • Performs other related tasks requested by Management;

 

SUCCESS KEY
  • Great attention to detail, composition, colors and lighting;
  • Postgraduate degree in a field related to employment;
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of production experience;
  • Previous experience as a team lead;
  • Good knowledge in the field of animation film and video games;
  • Strong organization and production skills;
  • Good knowledge of the software Nuke, Maya and various renderers like VRay or Redshift;
  •  Experience with the Shotgun production management tool.

 BONUS :

  • Bilingualism spoken and written (French and English);
  • Familiar with gaming engige such as Unreal or Unity.
