Pipeline technical director

The Pipeline Technical Director (TD) is at the heart of the company’s activities. He/she, along with the CG supervisor, will be in charge of developing viable solutions to the technical problems and optimizing the work tools. He/she also liaises between the various post-production software, by creating and maintaining internal tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyse, maintain and develop pipeline tools in multiple production software;
• Work closely with the technical directors of each department;
• Participate in pipeline optimization processes;
• Solve problems in the 2D / 3D scene and provide support for production;
• Communicate the tools and processes developed to the team;
• Provide technical and creative contributions on projects to improve quality and creativity.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent. A combination of advanced knowledge in programming, computer science and various production software is the desired profile;
• Proficiency in the Python language;
• Knowledge of Qt, PyQT or PySide;
• Knowledge of Nuke, Softimage, Maya and Houdini;
• Excellent ability in Linux (RHEL / CENTOS) and Bash;
• Manage source code under git / gitlab;
• Bilingual (French and English);
• Autonomous and self-taught;
• Attention to details;
• Development in C ++ (asset);
• Knowledge of the management tools ftrack and Shotgun (asset).
