A sixth foray into the Star Wars Universe for Hybride!

Hybride has recently delivered a total of 425 spectacular and innovative visual effects shots for the most recent and highly anticipated blockbuster Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which will be released in theaters this Friday, December 20th.

For Hybride, this 6th incursion into the Star Wars universe represents the studio’s most important participation to the famous franchise to date, and demonstrates a new level of technical prowess in terms of the types of effects produced by the team for this latest chapter of Lucasfilm’s intergalactic saga.

Teaming up once again with Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), the Hybride crew—now located in two creative spaces in Piedmont and Montreal—is extremely proud to have contributed to the most anticipated film of 2019, which has already been selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Visual Effects Branch as a contender for Best Visual Effects Oscar.

In addition to its participation on the Star Wars franchise, Hybride’s other impressive contributions to the film industry in 2019 include Disney’s Aladdin, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan seasons 1 & 2, which aired on Prime Video, HBO’s Watchmen and the hugely popular series, The Mandalorian currently streaming on Disney +.
