Film Editor

Under the director’s supervision, the film editor is in charge of the editing process and of combining shots into sequences for a variety of projects (movies, TV series, cinematics, promotional material, etc.).

•  Edit sequences and visual effects for various projects;
• Meticulously integrate the artists’ latest work on a daily basis;
• Integrate and/or create animated assets (motion graphics);
• Edit, encode, and transcode inputs/outputs for delivery;
• Provide creative insight regarding the pace and the editing of the project;
• Partake in art approbation sessions and carry out the necessary modifications;
• Address creative and technical issues as they come up;`
• Work in close collaboration with the production team, the artists, and other departments;
• Other tasks as required.

Requirements

• Training in film editing and/or production, and/or postproduction;
• Advanced knowledge of Premiere and After Effects (motion graphics);
• Fair knowledge of file encoding and transcoding, as well as video codecs, file formats, image resolutions, color pipelines, etc.
• Able to learn from feedback and criticism;
• Knack for communication and interpersonal relationships;
• Rigor and attention to detail;
• Ability to prioritize and work both autonomously and with a team;
• Capable of working under pressure and respect deadlines while meeting expectations of high quality;
• Bilingual (English and French);
• A passion for entertainment, movies and visual effects.
