Company description:

L’Atelier Animation, a studio in the mile end and currently producing an animated film for theatrical release, is looking for a software development intern to implement & deploy USD. USD is a file standard created by Pixar and set to transform the graphics industry.

Overview:

The intern would be assigned to help on the implementation process and deployment of the USD (Universal Scene Description) framework, in the pipeline, here at l’Atelier Animation.

Requirements:
– Required: Good knowledge of C++
– Bonus: knowledge of python, 3D graphics

The developer will help us design, code, build and integrate the different tools from the ground up and integrate them in the current pipeline.
They will also be asked to create USD-related unitests in order to ensure stability of the pipeline workflow throughout the development pipeline.
The goal is to be able to use a single interchange file format (data model) to store CG models and shots (geometry, shading, etc) that can be read by any application.
