Produced and broadcast by ABC in the US and CTV in Canada, QUANTICO is an American series that’s been broadcast every Sunday at 10pm since 27 September. It’s been so successful that ABC has already order an additional six episodes for Season 1.
Filmed in part in the streets of Montreal, the production team from ABC Studios that’s behind the show reached out to Digital Dimension. “With a quick-fire shooting schedule and a broadcast schedule that is equally demanding, selecting a studio located close-by was a logical step for ABC, yet I believe that above all it’s our expertise built over 19 years that won over this American company.” confides Peter Skovsbo, producer at Digital Dimension. “What’s more, we have an excellent relationship with ABC because we have had the opportunity to work on a number of their shows over the past decade, from THE LOTTERY and ZERO HOUR, to the celebrated show LOST to name a few. They know that we can work quickly and deliver quality product in the time allotted to us.”
Digital Dimension artists worked on a dozen episodes of this project from Joshua Safran, who amongst other things, graced us with several episodes of the show GOSSIP GIRL. Whether creating matte paintings or invisible visual effects, twenty or so employees of the studio worked on this well-structured thriller.
Considered to be one of fall’s top three new shows by industry insider Variety magazine, QUANTICO tells the story of young FBI recruits who must go to the Quantico training camp in order to build a particular set of skills that will aid them in their work as agents. Some nine months later, one of the members of the group is suspected of committing a terrorist act using the very skills they acquired at the camp.
