Description

– Assist the Rigging Lead in developing rigs and user-friendly control mechanisms for the Animation department;

– Provide support to the Animation department throughout production;

– Write automation scripts for production;

– Integrate rigs into the production pipeline;

– The incumbent will work closely with modeling, R&D and animation crews.

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

– A minimum of 3 years of character rigging experience is required;

Must have a solid understanding of Maya in character rigging;

– Must be creative and be able to develop new processes and systems to meet the production’s different needs;

– Must be comfortable with developing organic systems for characters (traditional weighting, muscle simulation, facial animations, etc.) as well as with developing mechanical systems (objects, vehicles, machines, etc.).

 

ADDITIONAL:

 – Experience using simulation tools is a big asset (hair, cloth, muscle system, etc.).
