L’Atelier Animation est un studio spécialisé dans la fabrication de séries et de longs métrages d’animation en images de synthèse.

Établie à Montreal depuis 2012, l’Atelier se démarque par le choix de ses projets d’envergure et par son infrastructure technologique en constante amélioration.

Véritable lieu de créativité, le studio privilégie le talent et l’audace en s’entourant d’artistes, de techniciens et de gestionnaires passionnés.

On recherche pour le prochain projet de long métrage d’animation de nouveaux talents. L’action de The Bravest se situe à New York dans les années 30 dans l’univers des pompiers.

 

Description du poste :

Sous la supervision du Directeur Artistique ou du Chef Concept, l’Artiste concept est responsable de la conception de personnages, d’environnements et/ou accessoires en noir et blanc et en couleur pour la fabrication d’un film d’animation 3D. Il peut participer à l’élaboration de Light-keys à partir du color script destinés à l’équipe Lighting. L’artiste traduit l’intention initiale du Directeur Artistique et du Réalisateur.

 

Responsabilités :              

  • Créer et concevoir les design du projet en cours sous la direction du Directeur Artistique et du Réalisateur;
  • Enrichir la vision artistique du film dans la même direction;
  • Mettre en page des modèles packs détaillés;
  • Compléter les packs avec des références de matières et de couleurs;
  • Élaborer des Light-Keys;
  • Comprendre et interpréter un color script;
  • Faire de la recherche de références pour l’équipe 3D;
  • Effectuer d’autres tâches connexes telles qu’assignées par la direction.

 

Compétences exigées :

  • Avoir au moins trois (3) années d’expérience dans le domaine;
  • Avoir une très bonne connaissance du logiciel PHOTOSHOP;
  • Avoir une bonne connaissance du cadrage, des couleurs et de l’éclairage;
  • S’adapter à tous les styles graphiques, spécialement cartoon;
  • Connaissance de la 3D, un atout;
  • Débrouillardise et capacité de s’adapter facilement au changement;
  • Être capable de travailler de façon autonome;
  • Bilingue français anglais;

Job description:

Under the supervision the Artistic Director or the Lead Concept Artist, the Concept Artist is responsible for the design of characters, environments and/or props in black and white and color for the production of a 3D animated film. He can participates in the creation and establishment of Light-Keys based on the color scripts intended for the Lighting team. The artist must always reflect and interpret the original intention of the Artistic Director and Director.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create & design conceptual artwork for current projects under directions of the Artistic Director and the Producers;
  • Develop the project’s artistic vision;
  • Create the layout for detailed model packs;
  • Complete the packs with references for colors and materials;
  • Establish Light-Keys for the Lighting team;
  • Understand and interpret color scripts;
  • Assemble influential research & reference material for the 3D team;
  • Complete other related tasks as necessary and as asked for by management.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of work experience in the field;
  • Extensive knowledge of PHOTOSHOP;
  • Strong knowledge of color, lighting, atmosphere & overall composition;
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling is a plus;
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt easily to change;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Bilingual (English and French).
