Job Description: 

Reporting to the Producteur exécutif senior Video Post Production, the VFX Producer sets budgets and deadlines with the client and/or production team, then ensures that production goes according to plan, on time and within budget.  They also oversee all aspects of the project through to delivery and ensure that production runs smoothly. 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Manage relations with clients and stakeholders.
  • Obtain the brief from the client along with any required materials. Present the project and client’s vision to the team. Delegate specific tasks.
  • Draw up an estimate.
  • Establish deadlines and manage the post-production schedule.
  • Coordinate post-production materials other than what are used on set.
  • Anticipate issues and discuss them with the team.
  • Ensure compliance with the production process (stages, stakeholders, post-production means, etc.) and follow up on work completed.
  • Show strong leadership and provide support as needed.
  • Keep the team motivated and engaged.
  • Listen to the client and maintain effective communications. Keep them informed of progress and of any obstacles encountered.
  • Bring the project to term, on time and within budget. Deliver the project to the client. See to the client’s satisfaction throughout.
  • Attain project targets and deliver the final product as per Rodeo’s quality standards.
  • Oversee the online release, client debriefing and team post-mortem.
  • Ensure that all project components (audio, footage, video, schedule, etc.) are ready for the artists and delivered on schedule.
  • Finalize invoicing.
  • Set up or attend various meetings with colleagues and other departments.
  • Assist the post-production supervisor with certain administrative tasks

Skills and experience required:

  • College or university degree in a field like radio broadcasting or film production as an asset.
  • Any production experience is an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English.
